Toyfriend Rebel Tickler Review

We all like something a little different in the bedroom, so when a unique looking sex toy comes along, it instantly makes my toes curl!

I have been eyeing up the Tickler range of vibrators, over the last few months and the Ododi folks must have been reading my mind, when they asked me to review the Toyfriend Rebel Tickler on their behalf.

Tickler was founded in 2009 by a group of like-minded friends, who ventured out to bring a fun but yet satisfying sex toy product to the adult market.

So why is this smaller vibrator different? At first sight, the Rebel is compact, smooth with a curved largish bulbous head. It comes with a see-through plastic stand and is presented in a white neat rectangle box, with the product’s basic details displayed.

Taking the Rebel out of it’s cosy home, it does indeed feel smooth and silky. You can feel the embossed ‘tickler’ name that is sketched into one side.

Tickler supply a 1.5v battery with this product, which is ideal, as they aren’t a battery that I simply have laying around the house.

This vibrator is made from 100% silicone, meaning that it is non-porous, latex and phthalate free and body safe. It measures 5.25” x 3.35”. Another bonus is that this product is submersible, brilliant for me, as I like my bathroom ‘me’ time!

As this product is silicone, I would advise to use a silicone friendly lubricant or a water-based one. To clean, as this product is submersible, I would wash it with hot soapy water and then a sex toy cleaner. Ensure you get into the ‘tickler’ name on the side of the toy, sometimes areas with writing on, need extra attention.

The Toyfriend Rebel Tickler retails for £24.99 GBP, is this a worthy price to pay? I am reserving my judgement til the end of this review.

The Rebel only has 1 speed, which is 1 vibration mode. Although 1 mode, it can be compared to the RO 80mm bullet by Rocks Off Ltd. There isn’t a bullet encased within this massager, as the Rebel tickler battery simply slips into the unscrewed end of the product and secured by screwing the cap back on.

The vibrations aren’t disappointing but I do feel like Tickler have let themselves down with a sex toy that has major potential to rival the big bods in this field. If there was a range of vibration/pulsation modes, I would be more excited about cracking this little buddy out of it’s stand, lubing it up and enjoying my ‘me time’. But I just can’t get the umpth up to give it the justice that it deserves.

Don’t get me wrong, it is a nice little clitoral vibrator to have to hand but for the price, I would be expecting a better kick from a unique looking product. So again, I ask is the RRP justified? For me, it is not. The Rebel Toyfriend is a good product but lacks that little touch that could put it up with the likes of other big branded names. A price I would be happier to pay would be around the £15.00 GBP mark.

But that is just my opinion. If you like a teaser sex toy that has power with 1 vibration, one that is easy to care for and small to hide from prying eyes, then the Rebel Tickler is for you.

But for me, I will be keeping this little fella on my bedroom table for future foreplay adventures.
