The iGino one is a unique clitoral stimulator, that looks discreet and is adequate to pack away for your travels.
I first became aware of this iGino product, back in 2012, when I was contacted via email by directly from the iGino team. They had explained that they were currently raising funds for the iGino product via the Indiegogo.com projects website. They had kindly asked if I would like to review their product, once they had finalized the vibrator. And of course, I said yes!
When the time finally came for me being greeted by Mr. Postie, who handed over a small rectangular package, I was very excited. Opening up my parcel, I took out a white and pink box, that is the size of something like an Android mobile phone box. It’s a clean packaging, with a simple iGino logo on all sides. On the back of the box, you are given the information as to what is inside, waiting for you.
Taking the iGino out of the box, I was in awe of the presentation. The vibrator is sleek, neat and actually doesn’t look like a sexual instrument, until you take the lid off the top of the iGino. Once the pink nub is revealed, again, you wouldn’t automatically think that this is a sex toy. Holding the iGino in the palm of my hand, it felt like an electric shaver. To turn the iGino on, there is a round switch on the left side, which you push up and to switch the power off, simply push the switch down.
The iGino only has 1 speed and that is damn fast! It’s movements are from side to side and move quicker than any vibrator or clitoral stimulator that I have used/review. You can use the iGino sideways or face down, which gives you an Iron Man finger like feel.
In the box, you are supplied with; USB Charger 100 – 240v, 2 pin EU plug, US adaptor cable, a velvet pouch to keep the iGino in a nub adapter in the shape of a flower and an instruction manual.
The iGino is made from ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), it’s latex and phthalates free.
Full length: 3.9″
Length without lid: 3.7″
Width: 2.2″ x 0.7″
Nub: 0.5″ x 0.4″
I love that this sex toy is rechargeable by USB and cable adaptor.
Unfortunately, the iGino is not waterproof, which takes a little of the fun out of this stimulator but then this is the 1st iGino, we may get a waterproof version in the future (?). So, back to the waterproof issue, when cleaning, use a clothe and clean the nub, you could also use a sex toy antibacterial spray.
I personally found the iGino to be fast and rough but that is how I like it! I had to use some lubricant with this, as it gives off friction but then that would be a given. I also tested the foam flower adapter that is supplied and it does buffer the roughness that the iGino can give off.
This isn’t the quietest sex toy, sound is not discretion but you won’t hear it through a wall.
The iGino retails at 99.00 EU, which equates to £84.63 GBP. Personally, I feel the price should be lower, being that this is a first version for the iGino team. Perhaps an RRP of £40.00 – £50.00 GBP would be more appealing to someone like me.
Dealing with the iGino team was a pleasure, I was kept informed of the progress, when I would receive the product and any questions I had were answered promptly and politely. When I received my item via the post, the package was address correctly and discreetly to myself. With no clue that this sex toy came from an adult company.
I am in 2 minds about the iGino; I do like the concept, the power, the fact it’s rechargeable and should have a longer life span that the normal vibrator but the price niggles at me. Another thing to bear in mind, is that the nub is a little too solid, if it was made for 100% silicone, the iGino would be a 100% 4 out of 4 for me.
