Lelo Mia Luxury Rechargeable Vibrator Review

I’d had my eye on the Lelo Mia from Ododi.com for two reasons. First, I’ve really enjoyed every other Lelo sex toy I’ve tried. Second, it’s just so darn cute!

I mean really, do you see the cute? How could you miss the cute?

At the size of a fat tube of lipstick, Mia could easily travel in purse for on-the-road masturbatory emergencies. Its smooth, unassuming exterior makes it look like anything but a sex toy.

And here is the best part. Mia is a rechargeable vibrator, so you never have to buy batteries or fumble to get them placed correctly in the toy. But Mia does not recharge in a wall outlet, ohhhh no!

The ingenious folks at Lelo created Mia to charge in your computer’s USB port.

Yes, you read that correctly. Mia juts from the side of your computer for charging, looking exactly like a cute pink jump drive. It emits a blinking light which glows steadily when fully charged, which should take about two hours. Is that not the coolest thing ever?

Pushing the toy’s “+” button turns it on to a steady vibration, which can be increased or decreased by pushing the “+” and “-” buttons repeatedly. Once on the highest level of steady vibration, holding down the “+” button will cycle the toy through three more modes of pulsating vibration. For travel, simple hold the “+ and “-” buttons together and the toy will be locked. This is a lovely feature if you plan on keeping Mia in your purse. Or your laptop bag.

A low hum is all a listener would hear, even when Mia’s buzzing away on its highest speed. A full charge provides up to four hours of tingly fun, though I’m sure this time would be greatly diminished if you used Mia on its highest settings.

Which is, of course, how I tested Mia. It’s no Hitachi wand style vibe, but Mia’s plenty strong for an on-the-road or on-the-sly wank. It’s also excellent for rubbing knots out of shoulders, relaxing typed-out hands, or rubbing over airport-sore feet. And its tiny size make it excellent for use between bodies during intercourse.

Mia’s made of hard plastic with a silicone pad covering the keys. Use only a water-based lube, as a silicone lube could damage the silicone pad.

Like the other fabulous Lelo products I’ve tried, Mia arrives in a sedate black box. Inside you’ll find the toy, an end cap which protects the USB plug when it’s in use, a short USB cable, a black storage bag and usage instructions. Lelo toys carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, which is an unexpected and welcome bonus for an adult product.

I’d highly recommend Mia for road-weary, vibration-loving travelers everywhere.
