7 Function Wonder Bullet Review

The 7 Function Wonder Bullet by Doc Johnson was sent to me to review by Sextoysuk.

Taking the product out on the envelope, I was greeted by a dark red and plastic see-through package. Showing the Doc Johnson bullet vibrator, there is nothing vulgar or distasteful about this product’s packaging. The front gives you the basic details of this toy being a 7 speed bullet and that it is made from a non-toxic material. The back of the package, the buyer is informed that this product is made from an ABS material, a medical caution to not use this product on any swollen or inflamed body parts and that this toy comes in 2 different colour ‘wine’ and ‘purple’.

The bullet and control are made from TPE (Thermoplastic elastomers), which is a mixture of plastic and rubber. In this case, it is refered to as ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) which is just another form of TPE. Either way, this toy is not body safe, slightly porous and phthalate free. Be aware that this sex toy is not water proof either.

There are 3 components to this toy; remote control, bullet and the wire connecting the two, making this a remote controlled bullet. It has 7 functions, which are simply operated by the one button on the remote control. The bottom of the button turns the bullet on and off, the upper part of the button flicks through the speeds. You have the option to flick through 4 speeds and 3 pulsations.

This product takes 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included with the toy. When this bullet is switched on, there is an operational red light that shows up in the left hand corner of the remote control.

Measurements:

Bullet length: 1.5″
Bullet Girth: 2″
Wire length: 37.2″
Remote control: 4.2 x 1.1″ x 3.2″

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this sex toy, on one hand it is small and powerful and a partner can join in the fun by controlling the vibrations. But on the other hand, I really don’t like the feel of the bullet’s material. I can understand that the remote is made out of ABS but the bullet could have been made from silicone, it just feels pretty cheap and tacky. For a general RRP of £15.00 GBP, I would have expected a bit more quality with Doc Johnson. Yes it has 7 speeds but that just doesn’t out do quality, over quantity. Look at Rock-off and their bullets, good quality, strong speeds and all for the same price as this.

june 571On the up side, it is a powerful clitoral stimulator, I can’t deny Doc Johnson that and the length of the wire makes it superb for a partner to partake in the stimulating fun! A fair few remote controlled bullets in today’s market seem to have short wires, which, in my opinion, cancel out the reason in having the wire in the first place.

To clean, I would advise to use a clothe, as this product is not water proof. You could also use a sex toy cleaner, such as the LELO toy cleaner . The reason why I have picked this toy cleaner is because it is literally one of the best on the market. I wouldn’t recommend a product I haven’t tried. I would simply just wipe the product down, you could soak the bullet in hit soapy water, as long as you do not submerge the wire at the top of it.

I like the idea of this sex toy, Doc Johnson have a good product on their hands but it needs an improvement before I would be happy to purchase it. The way the sex toy market is going, jelly toys are on the way out and I would predict TPR/TPE to follow, leaving only 100% safe toys such as silicone, glass and stone to remain. If Doc Johnson could change the bullet to 100% medically graded silicone, even leaving the remote as ABS, then this would be a must have toy to have in your bed side draw.

However, for the time being, this is an OK sex toy but I think Doc Johnson prevail with their silicone products and not their plastics.
