Tantus Purr Vibrating Dildo Review

Bump, bump, bumpy. That’s what the Tantus Purr is. If that’s not enough, it comes with a small bullet vibrator to crank things up even further.

Tantus Purr is what I would classify as a classic Tantus type toy. It has been around the scene longer than me, it comes in one of Tantus’ signature colors (Purple Haze, and Pink Pearl) and is a dildo with a slot for the included bullet vibrator.

Although it looks kinda like a huge worm, it has an understated design and quality to it. It’s pure platinum silicone, fairly firm, glossy, seamless and has a deep pearly shine to it. It’s pretty neat.

Measuring in at around 7.5″ (19cm) with 6.75″ (15cm) insertable. The circumference is 5″ (12.5cm) at its widest and 4.5″ (10cm) at its slimmest.

The glossy surface is something that becomes super slick with a touch of water based lubricant. This eliminates friction completely and it can glide freely. The rounded head isn’t too hard to insert even though it’s the largest part of the toy and very much rounded. The firmness sees that it is relatively swift and easy. The smooth shape makes both insertion and thrusting effortless, but with every stroke those small ridges massage the surrounding area . They are pretty understated and feel a lot more subtle than I thought. But this just makes it feel great without being overwhelming and rough feeling.

Tantus Purr

Included in the package is a simple Tantus Bullet vibe. It’s the same that comes with their other toys and is not too impressive. It’s on the buzzy and superficial side with a medium intensity. It has one speed and that’s just as well. I can’t really expect much more from such a small device, but surprisingly it does add a little something extra when used. The vibrations travel well through the shaft of the dildo, and are felt intensely on the inside. That’s actually not a given. More times than not I feel that the vibrations are concentrated on the outside of the body, tickling and numbing my bits. How annoying is that?!

Personally I prefer to use it as a plain dildo, and it works great. It’s not the most stimulating dildo I own, but it definitely provides some unique but gentle sensations.

If I were to disagree with something about the Purr, it would be that it is slightly too long. Otherwise it’s as brilliant as it’s simple. It’s perfect for people wishing to experiment with a gentle but stimulating texture and for those who like a firm toy. It’s versatile and can be used with or without a bullet vibe. Tantus Purr is also harness compatible, and would be great for strap on play, it’s not wobbly and holds it nice curve regardless of how it’s angled.
